Uncharted 2: Among Thieves picks up yet another gong at the gamescom trade fair 2009, adding to the list of awards it has already received.
A professional panel at gamescom 2009 held in Cologne, Germany have awarded Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Best Console Game. Gamescom is Europe's leading trade fair for the gaming industry where exhibitors vie for the attention of retailers, journalists and loyal videogame enthusiasts.
Uncharted 2 already boasts a plethora of achievements including Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2009 - Best of Show back in June this year. It was also awarded Best Console Game and Best Action/Adventure Game.
The Game Critics Awards is a group of 29 independent leading North American videogame media outlets that each year conduct a Best of E3 Awards, recognising gaming excellence and innovation as demonstrated at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, CA. Among the critics included some of the world's most recognisable names such as The Wall Street Journal, Wired, Los Angeles Times, Gamespot, IGN, Kotaku and many more. And at this year's E3 Expo, held on 2nd June through to 4th June, it was Uncharted 2: Among Thieves that stole the show, and rightly so.
If that's not enough, Gamespot and IGN globally had separate awards for Uncharted 2: Gamespot awarded Uncharted 2 Best Graphics and Best PS3 Game, while IGN awarded it Best Action Game, Best Graphics Technology, Best Multiplayer Experience, PlayStation 3 Game of the Show and Achievement for Technological Excellence.
Closer to home, IGN Australia revealed their most wanted games of 2009, and Uncharted: 2 Among Thieves was awarded the Most Wanted Game of 2009.
