Plus, find out what's included in the latest Gran Turismo 5 game pack from PlayStation Store.
The latest round of refinements to Gran Turismo 5 hits the PlayStation 3 driving simulator just before Christmas, and as a special treat, everyone who installs Functionality Update 2.02 will receive the Toyota 86 GT '12 for free. The update will be available from 20 December 2011.
Also, be sure to visit PlayStation Store on 21 December 2012, when you can download Car Pack 2 and add four impressive new vehicles to your collection. These include the 2012 Nissan R35 GT-R, 2011 MINI COOPER S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R and 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R.
Major Changes and New Features in the 2.02 Update:
Wheels can now be changed on standard cars
Following on from the addition of simplified interior views in the 2.00 update, standard cars wheels can now be changed. Choose the desired wheels for your car in GT Auto to reduce weight and improve styling.
Downloaded content can now be used by multiple users with the Family Upgrade
The Course Pack and Racing Car Pack, released on PlayStation Store in October 2011, can now be used by all accounts on the same PS3 system. Visit gran-turismo.com for more details.
Cars purchased as part of game packs now appear in the Car Dealerships
Once you have downloaded the Car Pack game content, you can unlock additional cars in-game using game credits.
A copy feature has been added to the settings sheets
A settings sheet saved in either A, B or C can now be transferred between save slots. This means you can slightly modify car settings you have already made.
Free tickets for GT Auto
Free tickets have been added so that you can wash cars, change oil, overhaul your engine or refresh the car body in GT Auto. Ten free tickets will be distributed to every person who downloads the 2.02 update.
Your free gift for downloading game packs
Get the Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SPL delivered to your garage along with five New Car Refresh cards when you purchase more than one of the content packs released in October 2011. The New Car Refresh cards will return a car to brand new condition. Equipped parts and current paintwork on the car won't be affected by the cards.
