This is how the PlayStation 4 wireless controller will make playing video games feel better than ever.
When PlayStation 4 was announced in February 2013, the world got its first glimpse of a new way to play; DUALSHOCK 4 is the most advanced PlayStation controller yet, promising greater precision, touch-based controls, instant sharing and a brand new shape.
Watch developers including Scott Rohde, senior vice president, product planning and senior producer Nicolas Doucet talk you through the exciting features of DUALSHOCK 4 and how they'll affect the games you play.
And when you've seen what DUALSHOCK 4 can do, read this at-a-glance guide to find out how the controller will do it.
SHARE your finest moments
A quick tap on the "SHARE button" lets you instantly share gameplay footage and images to popular social networks. Whether you've just lobbed the goalkeeper from outside of the box or pummelled an end-of-level boss without taking any damage, you'll be able to show your friends in the blink of an eye. "SHARE button"? "Yeah!" button, more like.
Tap, slide, pinch, play
Your next success is just a fingertip away, thanks to the touch pad on the DUALSHOCK 4. On the top of the controller, you might use it to flick objects around or perhaps draw a path for a character to follow, opening up even more in-game possibilities.
Look at the light
When a group of friends are playing together, you'll be able to quickly identify which controller is which thanks to coloured light bars which match the on-screen action. Not only will you spot when an ally has taken major damage, you'll also notice each portion of the TV screen swap places in split screen multiplayer modes to match that player's position in the room.
For the first time, a PlayStation controller features an in-built speaker so that you can catch every single detail of the action. Plus, DUALSHOCK 4 has a headphone jack so that you can chat with connected friends using a headset.
A new shape
Designed to sit even more comfortably in your hands, DUALSHOCK 4 features a new look that means your fingers can take the strain whether the bullets are flying or your rivals are hot on your tail. The dual sticks along with the L2 and R2 buttons have been remodelled to provide even greater precision.
