Rasputin's gambit to unleash evil upon the world throws Yuri and Karin into the chaos of World War I, in the sequel to Midway's gothic RPG.
As World War I unfolds, a supernatural battle is beginning to escalate in the shadows of a burning Europe, a parallel conflict set in motion by the massacre of a German Imperial army patrol at the hands of a winged 'demon'. The officer in charge and only survivor of this fateful foray is Karin Koenig... Thus a series of events is set in motion that will bring her and Yuri Hyuga, the 'Godslayer', together.
Shadow Hearts: Covenant sees the return of signature character Yuri Hyuga, nicknamed 'Godslayer' for defeating the monstrous God summoned by Albert Simon to destroy the world. Gifted and cursed with the power to take the souls of defeated monsters, Yuri has the ability to morph into and use the powers of his fallen enemies.
Engaging storylines and a large cast of characters, supported by glorious CGI cut-scenes and fluid combat action is a hallmark of Shadow Hearts. This new chapter sees combat controlled once more via the 'Judgment Ring', an innovative method of combining classic tactical RPG action with good reflexes and skilful timing.
- Engaging gothic RPG, featuring over 40 hours of gameplay
- 'Judgment Ring' control system adds a dimension of skill to combat
- Over 20 monsters for Yuri to 'wield'
- Combine different characters' skills and powers to devastating effect
