Dreaming of 3D on PS3

PS3™

Having glimpsed at the wonders of 3D gaming on PlayStation 3, the official PlayStation community joins the discussion.

Following on from International CES 2010 where Sony revealed the new range of BRAVIA televisions that will support 3D gaming and movies, the official PlayStation community allowed itself a moment to dream of which classic PS3 titles they would like to see using this innovative technology.

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
"Because this would be the only way to make this already visually spectacular game even better" (FurySevenSix, NSW)

2. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
"It would be so insanely scary. Playing this game at night all alone with all the windows open and all the lights turned off is scary enough. I can't imagine what it would be like if it was in 3D" (IcArus_11, NSW)

3. Ridge Racer 7
"This game in 3D would be a must. Pulling a 200km/h plus drift in 3D" (KIGO1987, WA)

4. Street Fighter IV
"I think the camera views of Street Fighter IV would work well in 3D" (Kiwiatlarge, NZ)

5. MADDEN NFL 10
"Playing as a pro and seeing the D flying at you before you launch a pass deep into the screen would be awesome" (Bpa94, VIC)

6. Mirror's Edge
"Mirror's Edge in particular would be super trippy" (Harlequiine, WA)

7. Burnout Paradise
"Burnout would be pretty sick in 3D" (SchvagnumPI, SA)

8. Battlefield: Bad Company 1 & 2 and Red Faction: Guerrilla
"The 3D effects on the flying debris and pure chaos would be something out of this world" (Gasman40, SA)

9. Assassin's Creed
"It would be cool especially when jumping off buildings" (Pretoria, NSW)

10. WipEout HD
"Just for the rush" (Renze, NZ)

So there you have it. The official PlayStation community has spoken and even though we can't promise that any of these titles will end up in 3D, watch this space for more updates in 2010 and visit the Official PlayStation Forums to share your views with the rest of the community.
