FINAL FANTASY XIII event

Square-Enix in collaboration with Future Publishing put together an exclusive FINAL FANTASY® XIII event, giving fans the opportunity to get hands-on with the game before its release.

Just under 400 members of the PlayStation® Community won a place at the exclusive FINAL FANTASY® XIII preview event held at the Imax Theatre in Darling Harbour on Thursday, 25th February 2010.

On entry, guests were treated to a big-screen presentation explaining some of the key features of the game and showing off the new HD graphics. After the presentation, fans were then given the opportunity to get hands-on with the blockbuster title. This event was the first time the European version of the game was shown in Australia.

A prize draw was held on the day, with a FINAL FANTASY® XIII Standard Edition, Collector's Edition and Official Game Strategy Guide up for grabs, and each fan happily walked away with a collectible FINAL FANTASY® XIII poster.

FINAL FANTASY® XIII marks the dawning of a new era for the celebrated series. Expanding upon the rich tradition of the series, producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Motomu Toriyama, character designer Tetsuya Nomura and art director Isamu Kamikokuryo combine their creative vision to deliver the latest masterpiece in the FINAL FANTASY universe. Additionally, Masashi Hamauzu (FINAL FANTASY X, DIRGE of CERBERUS -FINAL FANTASY VII-) presents a sweeping soundtrack while movie director Takeshi Nozue and his team of artists adorn the game with seamless cinematic sequences of unparalleled calibre.

FINAL FANTASY® XIII is in stores today for PlayStation®3.
