Uncharted 2 wins Aussie Golden Joystick

Future Publishing Australia today announced the winners of the Australian Golden Joystick Awards 2010, with Uncharted 2 taking home the award for PlayStation Game of the Year.

The Golden Joystick's recognise the best in games entertainment, and internationally the awards are a gaming tradition. They are now in their 28th year and the oldest and most prestigious gaming awards ceremony in the world, and most significantly, are voted for by gamers themselves.

Future Publishing Australia has announced the winners of the locally voted for Australian Golden Joystick Awards and we're excited to say that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves took home the PlayStation Game of the Year 2010 Award - a great achievement considering it was up against the likes of God of War III, Assassin's Creed II, Modern Warfare 2 and Red Dead Redemption.

PSP exclusive title Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker also took home the award for Handheld Game of the Year 2010.

The voting was conducted online, and promoted over an 8 week period via print and online advertising, along with social media channels including Facebook. The winners of each category will be presented with a Golden Joystick statuette at an event to be hosted in January 2011.
