Prepare for greatness with the free Virtua Tennis 4 demo on PS3, available to download from PlayStation Store.

Sega has revealed the ace up its sleeve with the Virtua Tennis 4 demo, available exclusively on PlayStation 3. Our guide will help you fine-tune your skills, learn to handle the pressure of a Grand Slam shoot-out and wow the fans. Download it for free from PlayStation Store today and launch your bid for tennis superstardom.

A global journey
Make your debut in the brand new World Tour mode, where you'll notice the innovative board game approach to your journey. Events are scattered across the globe, the first stop being Shanghai for the Advantage Series China. Here, you'll get a flavour of the madcap mini-games, off-court commitments and high-stakes battles that'll make your name one to remember.

Meet Spencer
Your coach and mentor, Spencer Heath, pops up between events with crucial advice. He also supplies you with tickets that let you move between areas, introducing a strategic strand to your route around the world. Some tickets let you move further than others – you must think carefully before using them, so that you don't miss out on the events you want to enter.

Learn to take it easy
Rest is essential, even though you'll want to spend as much time on the court as possible. Any activity, whether it's in the sporting or the public arena, drains your Condition Gauge. Even interviews and charity events, which boost your Star Rating to help you gain entry to lucrative tournaments, can tire you. Rest areas are dotted around the map to help you recharge your batteries before your next challenge.

Sharpen your skills...
More addictive than ever, the mini-games in Virtua Tennis 4 will chisel you into match-winning shape. Clay Shooting helps you target your shots, while Wind Match throws you into a gusty game to improve your rally skills. High scores in these boost your four core skills – stroke play, defensive shots, tactical ability and net finesse – to prepare you for your first big match.

...And showcase your game
You've honed your game and impressed tennis fans in this expansive demo. Now it's time to prove your mettle in your first game, a quick-fire Exhibition Match full of venomous serves, sensational shots and absorbing rallies. It's your chance to announce your arrival on the international stage.

Download the Virtua Tennis 4 demo to PS3 from PlayStation Store and take your first step towards sporting immortality.

To find out what the future holds, pick up a copy of Virtua Tennis 4 on PS3 in-store from 5th May 2011.
