More PlayStation Network games revealed

The PlayStation Network family gets even bigger with the addition of Everyday Shooter and Toy Home.

SCEA have further bolstered the already impressive upcoming PlayStation Network line up with a couple of new games announced at the E3 Media & Business Summit that look sure to impress.

First up is Everyday Shooter, a game that combines the frenetic shooting gameplay of PlayStation Network games such as Blast Factor and Super Stardust HD with the musical sensibilities of PlayStation 2 game Rez. The concept is to create a game experience that is like a musical album - a collection of different shooters inspired by different themes, but related to each other, all tied together under the Everyday Shooter banner.

Music is integral to the game, with each level being backed by guitar tracks, and every sound effect, from your lasers firing to enemy ships exploding, is represented by a guitar riff, meaning you can build up some awesome soundscapes with your destruction, and chain enemy explosions together for bigger points, and a symphony of music.

Next on the PSN platter is Toy Home, a Havok-physics based checkpoint racing game set in a child's playroom. Playing on your own or with a friend in the split-screen two player mode you have to outrace your opponents through vast, sprawling levels packed with destructible objects, massive jumps and precipitous drops. The game is already looking gorgeous, and there are set to be bonus points and achievements awarded for creating as much destruction and chaos as possible within the playroom.

Collecting coins lets you extend your time, but you're still going to have your work cut out in what is shaping up to be a fast-paced slice of madcap multiplayer action.
