Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is the first outing on PlayStation®3 for intergalactic crime-fighting mechanic Ratchet and his cool-headed robot pal Clank. If you know the pair from previous incarnations, you'll know what to expect: wrench-swinging, trigger-happy, explosive action with imaginative weapons galore, and this game certainly doesn't disappoint. There are 23 unique weapons as well as a wealth of new gadgets on offer for the discerning galactic adventurer - just check out this selection of what's awaiting you on your travels through the galaxy:

Groovitron: This disco ball grenade will turn even the meanest robots into helplessly twinkle-toed Jackson Five-a-likes, leaving you to dispatch them while they're caught up in their dance moves.

Predator Launcher: A rocket launcher with multi-lock capabilities, the Predator Launcher can lock onto three simultaneous targets to destroy a bunch of smaller creatures or damage multiple points on a large one to bring it down quickly.

Death Springs: A shell loaded with crawling slinky springs that home in on your enemies, Death Springs can be sent on search-and-destroy missions to clear out even the most dangerous of rooms.

Mr Zurkon: Pinned down by a horde of foes? Why not summon your own floating combat robot? At the mere touch of a button, Mr Zurkon will materialise to blast everyone in sight.

Tornado Launcher: This one does exactly what it says on the tin - it launches a tornado that you can direct with the SIXAXIS™ Wireless Controller, destroying enemies and sweeping away everything in its path.

Geo-Laser: Don't go around walls, cut through them with the Geo-Laser, a futuristic gadget that'll open up the sturdiest of walls like a flimsy tin can.

Plasma Beasts: These little terrors start life as small, moving globs of slime - but turn into raving, gelatinous monsters when enemies get too close.

Visi-Copter: Need an aerial scout that packs a punch? Look no further than the Visi-Copter. Steer it with the SIXAXIS Wireless Controller to scout out any potential hazards ahead - and detonate it next to any enemies you find.
