When you are playing online via the PlayStation®Network we want your experience to be easy and enjoyable. If you find someone is spoiling it for you, such as cheating, harassing you, intimidating you or threatening you with malicious or offensive behaviour (within a game or through sent messages) then we want to know about it.

There are a few ways to report matters that are concerning you. These are outlined in further detail in the sections below.
• PlayStation.com.au online support
• Directly from your PlayStation 3 XrossMediaBar (XMB)
• Report within the Game

Note: *Once you have reported it, you can also add the person to your Block List (which prevents them from sending you further messages) by selecting the "Add To Block List" option.

What happens when I report someone?

We want to keep the PlayStation Network online play experience as enjoyable as possible. When an issue is reported, we aim to investigate a resolve these reports within 48-hours where possible.

Depending on the type of offence measures can include a issuing a warning which incurs a 1 day suspension through to 7 day, 1 month or in some cases permanent bans.

Here is the link to the PlayStation Network Code of Conduct. Individual games titles will also have a Code of Conduct managed by the community managers of those games.

What types of items can I report?
If someone is spoiling your experience on PlayStation Network, these are just some of the inappropriate behaviours that can be reported. There is a standard of behaviour which users agree to when they join PSN
• Mature – Violence
• Mature – Sexual Content
• Mature – Drugs
• Offensive – Swearing or bad language
• Offensive – Discrimination (Gender, Racial, Ethnic, Religous)
• Bullying/Harassment
• Advertising
• Defamation
• Copyright
• Impersonating SCE Official/Moderator
• Impersonating another person
• Inappropriate Online ID
• Solicitation for PlayStation Network Information or Personal Information
• Other
