Video output on PS3

Optimise your viewing experience by setting the best resolution for your TV.

The PS3 system can output two types of resolution: High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD). Refer to the instruction manual for the TV in use to check which video mode is supported.

High Definition Video Mode* / Aspect Ratio:
1080p / 16:9
1080i / 16:9
720p / 16:9

Standard Definition Video Mode / Aspect Ratio:
576p / 16:9, 4:3
