Story

Team up to save the Tri-State area

The Disney Channel's most popular duo of all time have arrived on PSP for a dimension-hopping adventure to foil the evil Dr Doofenshmirtz and save their home town of Danville.

When Phineas and Ferb accidentally transport themselves into an alternative dimension – along with Phineas's sister Candace, Dr Doofenshmirtz and their pet Perry the Platypus – they kick off a crazy adventure that turns the world as they know it upside down. After meeting their alternative selves and discovering that Perry is actually super-secret spy Agent P, they find themselves pursued through space and time by an evil other-dimension version of Dr D and his army of deadly cyborgs, hell-bent on destroying the Tri-State area.

Now, back in Danville – or at least, a place that looks a lot like Danville – Phineas and Ferb will need to load up on power-packed gadgets and hook up with a whole cast of playable characters if they want to find their way back to their own dimension, rescue their friends and save their home town.

Presentation

Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today...

Fans of the smash-hit Phineas and Ferb cartoon will recognise a whole host of characters, gadgets and locations, faithfully adapted from the TV show to their PSP screen.

The boys' adventure starts outside their house in Danville – but there's something not quite right as they make their way to the backyard where they once built the "coolest coaster ever". Purple slime covers the houses and gardens of Danville – not to mention the sinister slime monsters lurking around every corner.

Fortunately, Phineas and Ferb have the technical wizardry to build a whole array of amazing gadgets using the blueprints that you'll find dotted around each level and bits and pieces of everyday junk to build them from – like a super springy Plat-o-pault to fire them into the air or an anti-gravity ray to help them collect the parts they need to fix their Dimension Hopper.

Along the way, they'll meet up with friends who will help them on their journey, like science whizz Baljeet, big sister Candace and Perry the Platypus – aka Agent P – who is joined by the mysterious Agent T... or Terry the Turtle as he's known in the 2nd Dimension.

Hey, where's Perry?

Gameplay

Hey, where's Perry?

As you hop from one dimension to the next, you can switch between playing as Phineas or Ferb – handy when you have a puzzle that needs to be solved with teamwork. As well as our two heroes, there's a whole cast of playable characters that you'll encounter who can help out in your quest – like Agent P and his 2nd Dimension equivalent, Agent T, who join the fight to defeat the fiendish jelly monsters armed with their secret agent skills. Meet up with these friends and they'll join your team, so you can choose which combination of characters you want to tackle the next level with.

Throughout your adventure, you'll find blueprints of special gadgets that Phineas and Ferb can build to help them on their way. Pick up a blueprint and you'll see an outline of the special items that you need to find in order to build that gadget – like an old spring and a tennis racquet to rebuild the Plat-o-pault that sends the boys soaring through the sky. You can also pick up special chips that will power up your weapons, like the baseball launcher that you'll need to keep the slime monsters and evil Dr D's robots at bay.

There's plenty of hilarious moments in the cartoon cutscene between levels, as well as all the funny quips, catchphrases and characters that fans of the Phineas and Ferb cartoons – young and old – have come to love.
