Producer Jean Claude answers questions from PlayStation fans about the latest PlayStation Network title from Gameloft, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance.
Having a background in mobile phone gaming, how did you progress to PlayStation 3? (Cumberdanes)
Gameloft has always been focused on providing quality entertainment through digital distribution channels. The advent of such channels on consoles allows our development teams to play around with very powerful hardware while remaining true to our strategy.
If you could pick one class from the game to play as, what would you be and why? (EnglishSpaniel)
I usually pick mages when playing RPGs, and the Dungeon Hunter: Alliance mage is particularly attractive to me with an array of spells that allow me to control the flow of battle.
Games like these are all about the loot! What's the best piece of loot in the game and why? (MadBoJangles)
Each class can be customised to play differently and, depending on your character development choices you will be on the hunt for loot with stats and special abilities that best complement your play style. I would say the Whirlwind, a staff that can be used to send enemies flying. It's available later in the game in the legendary difficulty mode.
What's the coolest creature you get to fight in Dungeon Hunter: Alliance? (TankPlay)
I would say our final boss is the coolest... but I won't spoil it!
How long did it take you to develop the game? (AdrianKingRing)
It took us around 18 months. It's quite a long time for a downloadable game. We had to create pretty much everything from scratch.
Which part of Dungeon Hunter: Alliance will fascinate players the most? (AoGuangLong)
I believe that will be the multiplayer component. Players can enjoy the game in any way they want with the drop-in/drop-out feature.
Do you prefer to play the game with the DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller or PlayStation Move? (Maniac-Norton)
I would say I prefer a wireless controller when playing a melee class, while the PlayStation Move makes targeting with certain area-effect spells more precise.
How do you use PlayStation Move when playing Dungeon Hunter: Alliance? (Spyro_the)
The easiest way to describe it is to say the motion controller replicates the functions of a mouse. People with little RPG experience find it much easier to play with the PlayStation Move motion controller as they have far fewer buttons to manage and they can concentrate on enjoying the game.
Is this going to be a difficult game for people who have never tried an RPG? (DiosNeo)
No, we have a nice difficulty curve and a comprehensive tutorial. This is a game accessible to anyone.
For expert players, will the story be interesting and complex? (BR78500)
Our story contains plenty of twists and turns that will keep players engaged right up to the final act.
Download Dungeon Hunter: Alliance now from PlayStation Store and begin your own epic adventure.
