Benji beats Buddy in PlayStation AFL & NRL Kicking Challenge to launch AFL Challenge and Rugby League Challenge only on PSP™.
Benji Marshall has proven he is the best kicker in Australia kicking four out of six goals to beat Lance 'Buddy' Franklin, Jarrad McVeigh and Michael Gordon in the PlayStation Kicking Challenge. The PlayStation Challenge was brought to life yesterday to mark the release of both AFL Challenge and Rugby League Challenge games available exclusively on PSP.
Hawthorn's leading goal kicker and last year's Coleman Medallist Lance 'Buddy' Franklin, 2008 Sydney Swans Best and Fairest Jarrad McVeigh, Wests Tigers playmaker Benji Marshall and the NRL's most accurate goal kicker in 2009, Panther Michael Gordon, battled it out over six different kicking challenges across both codes in Sydney on Wednesday.
Benji Marshall was crowned king of the PlayStation Kicking Challenge and received a PSP console package, which included the Rugby League Challenge game. Benji will now be able to practice his kicking anytime and anywhere playing as himself in the game, as both games feature all official AFL and NRL clubs and players. Other great features of the games include allowing players to go through an entire season of rounds and the finals series, all the way up to the Grand Final, and even use strategy to manage their clubs cash flow and train up key players in key positions to enhance their attack and defence.
With rugby league player Karmichael Hunt recently announcing his move from NRL to AFL, people have been asking the question, do players from either code have the ability to cross codes and perform with the ball - the PlayStation Kicking Challenge has proven league players could mix it with the best AFL players.
The new and exclusive PSP hand-held game titles AFL Challenge and Rugby League Challenge will be available FREE when a PSP is purchased in selected stores across Australia from Thursday 10th September 2009.
