An introduction to Video on PSP

Discover video controls

Find out which controls you can use when viewing video on PSP.

Video control panel

Once a video is playing, press the Circle button to stop it. In most cases, the next time you play the video it will resume from the previous stopping point.

1. Display the Control Panel.

Press the triangle button to display the on-screen Control Panel. You can then select [Help] for additional information.

2. Choose an icon.
Select an icon using the directional buttons and press the X button.

3. Exit the Control Panel.
Press the Triangle or Circle button to clear the Control Panel.

Note: The icons in the Control Panel vary depending on whether you are viewing Universal Media Disc Video or video stored on a Memory Stick Duo.

List of functions

 

[Menu]

Displays the Universal Media Disc Video Menu.

[Audio Options]

 

Switches between available audio options for Universal Media Disc Video recorded with multiple audio tracks.

[Angle Options]

Switches between available viewing angles for Universal Media Disc Video recorded with multiple angles.

[Subtitle Options]

Switches between available subtitle options for Universal Media Disc Video that include subtitles.

[Go To]

Plays video data stored on a Memory Stick Duo from a specified time.

[Universal Media Disc Video Volume]

Boosts the volume of the Universal Media Disc Video.

[Screen Mode]

Changes the size of the video displayed on the screen.

[Display]

Displays the playback status and related information.

[Help]

Displays the functions that can be performed using PSP buttons.

[Previous/Return to Beginning]

Returns to the previous chapter of a Universal Media Disc Video during playback, or to the beginning of a video saved on a Memory Stick Duo during playback.

[Next]

Skips to the next chapter. This operation cannot be performed during playback of a video stored on a Memory Stick Duo.

[Fast Reverse/Fast Forward]

 

Accelerates playback (reverse or forward) on the screen to help locate a particular scene.

[Slow Motion]

Plays a scene in slow motion.

[Frame Advance]

Plays a scene one frame at a time.

[Play]

Starts playback.

[Pause]

Pauses playback.

[Stop]

Stops playback.

[Repeat]

Plays the video repeatedly.

[Clear]

Clears the Repeat setting.
