PSP®

Use Scene Search

Find your favourite moment in videos on your PSP.

[Scene Search] is an option in the Control Panel of Video. You can display a movie file that is saved on Memory Stick Duo media as thumbnails at fixed intervals, to select and play the desired scene.

How to use [Scene Search]

1. While a movie is playing, press the Triangle button.
2. Select Scene Search icon from the Control Panel.
3. Use the up and down directional buttons to select the interval for displaying thumbnails.

You can select from 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, and 5 minutes.

4. Use the left and right directional buttons to select the scene you want to see.

Playback begins from the selected point.

Hints

  • You can also start Scene Search by pressing the Square button while a movie is playing.
  • This function may not be available for some movies.
  • You cannot use Scene Search in movie files that are less than one minute in length.

Previewing scenes using [Scene Search]

You can preview each scene using [Scene Search]. If you select a thumbnail using scene search and wait for a fixed interval, a video preview will begin. After approximately 15 seconds of video is played, the screen will return to the starting thumbnail of the scene that was played.
