Introducing 3G on PS Vita

PS Vita

Getting started

Find out more about 3G on PS Vita.

3G is short for 3rd generation mobile telecommunications and is a different way of going online with your PS Vita system if you're not able to connect via Wi-Fi using a Wireless access pont.

3G connections are "always-on" meaning that you can stay constantly connected with your gaming life on PlayStation Vita. To use 3G on PS Vita, you will need to make sure you have the PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi model.

The easiest way to tell if you have this model is to look for the SIM card slot cover on the left-hand side of the PS Vita system.

You will also need a SIM card along with a contract with a 3G service provider. In Australia, this is provided by Vodafone and you can get more details on availability and costs at vodafone.com.au.
